Beyond Bill C-16: Turning Legislative Reform into Survivor Safety

Bill C-16 represents an important opportunity to strengthen Canada's response to gender-based violence. This session explored the legislation through a survivor-centred and systems-change lens, focusing not only on what the Bill proposes, but why these reforms matter, what they could mean for survivors and the GBV sector, and the implementation considerations necessary to translate legislative change into meaningful improvements in survivor safety.
